Directions to Willow Creek Ranch
Hello to the friends and families of Butch and Sundance!
We are thrilled that you are celebrating your legacy with us here at Willow Creek Ranch! The Hole in the Wall is an important part of the outlaw historoy and we are excited to share it with you. There are a few things you should know, including how to get here.
First, the money you are paying Marilyn Grace to attend this event will cover lunch and dinner on July 2. The lunch on July 3 (explained below) is for those that sign up and is not part of her fee.
Second, we are allowing RVs on the ranch. However, we are not an RV park and do not have hookups. We can accomodate a few RVs with an extension cord and a water hose. We will have porta potties! The cost for RV camping is $25 per night. Your meals are included in the admission you pay Marilyn.
Third, we will not be riding horses to the Hole in the Wall on July 3rd. It is a 20 mile ride round trip and takes a full 8-10 hour day. So . . .you'd ride out just in time to head back and completely miss the tour, the stories and lunch! We will do a vehicle tour out there, making a few stops on the way to tell some famous outlaw stories. You will be able to hike up the Hole in the Wall and have lunch at the site where Butch and Sundance had a cabin. We will return to the ranch in the late afternoon, allowing plenty of time for you to get back to Buffalo, Kaycee, Casper or wherever you are staying. There will be a sign up sheet on July 2 if you are interested in participating in that tour. Lunch will be provided for $10 per person IF you are signed up. Please remember that this is rough country and and you will need a high profile vehicle to participate in the tour. Four wheel drive is not necessary but small cars do not fare well!
Next, all of our cabins and bunkhouses are full for the two day event. However, I have arranged for some additional accomodations at a Bed and Breakfast in Kaycee for those that are still looking for lodging. It is the One Diamond Bar Bed and Breakfast and the phone number is (307) 738-2416. Let them know that you are part of this reunion at Willow Creek Ranch.
My phone number is (307)738-2223 and I am happy to answer any questions you might have.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly is HOW do you get to the middle of nowhere! Here are directions to Willow Creek Ranch:
From Casper, go 62 miles north on I-25 to Exit # 249 - TTT Ranch Road.
(From Kaycee, go 4 miles south on I-25 to Exit # 249)
If you are going north, exit at # 249 and turn left under the interstate. After passing under the interstate, turn left (south).
(If you are going south, exit at #249 and make a left)
Go 6/10 mile south and turn right (west)
Go 11.4 miles to the entrance of the TTT Ranch and turn right.
Go 3. 5 miles to the fork or intersection of Lone Bear Road and Willow Creek Road and turn right.
Go 5.9 miles to the Willow Creek Elementary School on the left.
Just past the school, turn right up a steep hill on County Road 111.
Go 4.8 miles and you will be looking at ranch headquarters. You will dead end into a log horse barn. Turn right to the check in at the Cowboy Bunkhouse.
Call if you get lost!
We are excited about meeting all of you and hearing your stories! See you on July 2nd!
Happy Trails,
Kristen Crago and the Staff at Willow Creek Ranch
